based on the property value, loan amount borrowed, loan
term and annual interest rate. You can also specify to

plus the total amount you will actually pay for borrowing

Tax Benefits of Buying a Home
This calculator estimates the tax benefit of buying a home. Input your loan parameters and
the month you purchased the home. Since home interest and points are captured in itemized
deductions, please estimate your Schedule A itemized deductions. Your itemized deductions
including your mortgage deductions will be compared to your standard deduction to calculate
the tax benefit of purchasing your home. Unless stated otherwise, all fields above are on an annual basis.

How Much Can I Afford?
You can use this calculator as a guide to determine what
the mortgage companies will allow you to borrow and how
much will you save on taxes. There are a lot of factors,
of course, which will ultimately determine what your bank
or mortgage company will allow you to borrow, but gross
income and current debt payments are the most heavily
weighted qualifiers.
